Team Member Spotlight: Robyn McCarty
Updated: Mar 2, 2020
This week's Team Member Spotlight is our Volunteer Coordinator, Robyn McCarty!
Robyn was born and raised in West Monroe where she attended West Monroe High School and went on to ULM to pursue her degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology, with a minor in Sociology. She now resides in Downsville where she has raised her two daughters, Hannah and Jessie. Hannah has moved to Dallas, TX with her family to raise Robyn's favorite grandson, Jude, and Jessie attends LA Tech where she is working towards her dream of becoming an Ophthalmologist. Her family means the world to her and she enjoys every minute she gets with each of them. She especially enjoys still having Jessie at home where she and Jessie have the opportunity to visit at the end of each day. But she can't leave out her sweet Jude, she loves her some Jude! When she isn't with her family, you can almost be sure to find her somewhere in her home church of over 20 years, Point Assembly of God, serving Christ and serving others. She takes various opportunities to serve however and whenever she can, but she loves worshiping on her church's Praise Team. These are passions she feels very deeply for her love for Christ is very evident in the way that she also serves in her role at Ascend Hospice Care. After two years in her role with us she says she is so proud and thankful for a company who not only allows, but encourages, its employees to serve in a Christ-like manner and minister to our patients and families. (However; we are equally proud and thankful to have employees, like herself, who live and serve with such Faith ). Next to the ability to express her freedom of religion in the workplace, she LOVES fitting the right volunteers to patients and patients' families and watching relationships develop. A few fun facts about Robyn: 🧐She's a research guru. 📚She loves to read. 🛏She loves updating and re-purposing furniture. ✈️She enjoys traveling, whether for fun or a mission trip. 😘She likes motivating/encouraging/uplifting others. What a lady, right??? Thank you Robyn, for all that you do. ❤️
